Plastic Recycling has become a big issue in Hong Kong

The controversial reports that many times, the items dropped in the recycle bins ended up in landfills not only disappointed us but also discouraged many people to do the recycling. In the meantime, this report from SCMP showed how much PET plastic still didn’t get to be recycled.

RenatureChest machine of Recycle from Cornerstone Renewable is able to take in up to 1.5L  PET plastic bottles. We can also assure you that every single bottle taken in will be taken to be recycled into raw materials. We keep this promise, with the technology developed, our machine is able to scan each item put in, those that are not recyclable will be automatically rejected by the machine.

The high level of waste in Hong Kong

The increase in waste in Hong Kong is a worrying statistic. Latest figures estimate each HongKonger sends an average of 1.5kg municipal waste per day to the landfills. This calls for the attention of every single one of us to make a change.

Cornerstone Renewable Energy has been engaging various corporations and individuals to be involved in this movement to reduce municipal waste. Our RenatureChest machine enables a larger capacity and better-compressed system to recycle plastic bottles, cans and Tetra Paks. We will not stop here and continue to innovate additional machines that would be able to take in other recyclable wastes.
